iOS8 - The biggest iOS release ever (Acccording to Apple):

iOS 8 gives you better notification system, Support to third party keyboard apps, nice connectivity between apple devices,
Health tracking apps can share data within them, Messages get a lot better also the new look of Photos App is amazing.
Especially what I thought to be the best feature is Interactive Notifications , which means you can reply directly from these notifications.

iOS8 is compatible with:

       iPhone 4s,5,5c,5s,6,6 plus
       iPad 2,3rd gen,4th gen
       iPad air,mini,mini with retina display
       iPod touch 5th gen.

However Upgrading to IOS 8 will take up to 5GB memory, and also there are some bugs reported by users which will be removed with upcoming minor updates. Some apps won't be downloadable after this upgrade due to incompatibility issue. Also note that Upgrading will kill your current jailbreak. older phones will not give the best experience as the newer ones with this os.

IPhone 6 & 6 plus in India:

Indians have to wait for getting their hands on this Iphone till November. Price of these Iphone 6 will be well over 40,000 Rs and 6 Plus for around 50,000 Rs.

Why to buy:

Android phones give you best specifications in little price but with iPhone, you get the perfection as both Hardware and Software it comes with is developed by Apple. Whether you are a current Apple user or not you are going to love iPhone 6 & 6 plus due to its elegant OS and great Hardware. Access of iCloud and many other iPhone only apps could be the reason to buy an iPhone. You will get Apple pay and fingerprint sensor which is not available in other phones.

Why not to buy:

Samsung Galaxy S5(released in Feb 2014) priced at 34,925 gives you Quad core 2.5Ghz processor with 2GB Ram, 5.1 inch screen (~432 ppi) clearly overtakes iphone 6 and in some specs 6 plus also and within far lesser price.

Also many people feel more comfortable while using Android.
If you are an Apple fan and do not think about paying an extra  hundred dollars then you can happily go and buy iPhone 6, 6plus.

In this price range another smart contender is Moto X(2nd Gen) also called as Moto x2, Moto x+1 etc.
With 5.2inch (~424 ppi) display, 2.5 GHz Quad core processor, 2GB Ram, 13 MP rear camera with 2160p recording and front cam of 2mp with 1080p recording Moto x2 proves to be a nice choice. Moto x2 has 10mm thickness which is a negative point over iPhone 6.

Moto x2 is priced at about 35,000 Rs ( from 524.99$ ).

I will give full phone specs for this Moto fighter in next upcoming days.
