As the news reports suggesting a successor to Huawei Ascend 7 Mate have started floating in, we heard that the Huawei Ascend 7 Mate might be making an entry in India very soon.
Our sources told us that the device will be getting released in India at around February 2015. The device will come with a fingerprint scanner ala iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S5. However, the fingerprint scanner for this smartphone would be on the back side of the device.
The Ascend Mate 7 was originally announced in October this year with a decent hardware specs sheet and Huawei's trusted Kirin 925 octa core SoC. The device will have two variants: the first one will have 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and the second variant will come up with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal space. The space can be expanded via microSD by up to 128GB.
There is a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP one on front. It is a dual-SIM phone also packs in a 4,100mAh battery. The price of this smartphone abroad ranges between 2,999-3,699 RMB and we expect that it will cost almost as much when it makes its debut in India.
